Beneficiaria de PECDA Coahuila 2024, Andrea Badillo Sariñana reside actualmente en la Ciudad de México, donde cursa la Maestría en Artes Visuales en la UNAM. Egresada con honores de la Universidad Autónoma de Coahuila, es Licenciada en Artes Plásticas con especialización en Pintura.

Recipient of the PECDA Coahuila 2024 grant, Andrea Badillo Sariñana currently resides in Mexico City, where she is pursuing a Master's degree in Visual Arts at UNAM. Graduated with honors from the Universidad Autónoma de Coahuila, she holds a Bachelor's degree in Fine Arts with a specialization in Painting.

Participó en el primer intercambio académico entre la ENPEG "La Esmeralda" y la UAdeC.

She participated in the first academic exchange between ENPEG "La Esmeralda" and UAdeC.

Ha realizado cinco exposiciones individuales y participado en más de 40 exposiciones colectivas.

Andrea has held five solo exhibitions and participated in over 40 group exhibitions.

Fue acreedora de la Beca-Residencia “Verano del Arte” (2016) de la UAdeC y de la beca Contigo en la Distancia, FONCA (2021). Entre 2021 y 2022, llevó a cabo una estancia artística en Dublín, Irlanda.

She has been awarded the UAdeC “Verano del Arte” Residency Grant (2016) and the FONCA "Contigo en la Distancia" grant (2021). Between 2021 and 2022, she completed an artistic residency in Dublin, Ireland.

Su obra ha sido expuesta en diversos medios impresos, museos y galerías en México, Italia e Irlanda. Es fundadora de EL ARTE NOS SALVA A.C. y docente de Pintura, Teoría y Psicología del Color a nivel licenciatura.

Her work has been exhibited in various printed media, museums, and galleries in Mexico, Italy, and Ireland. She is the founder of EL ARTE NOS SALVA A.C. and teaches Painting, Color Theory, and Color Psychology at the undergraduate level.

Su investigación actual explora cómo la interacción entre la luz y el color puede evocar recuerdos y transformar la percepción visual. A través del uso de tecnología LED RGB en sus pinturas, investiga cómo la luz puede ocultar o revelar elementos pictóricos, creando una metáfora visual sobre la naturaleza fragmentaria y efímera de la memoria. Al integrar pigmento y luz, su trabajo reflexiona sobre el acto de recordar y olvidar, invitando al espectador a contemplar la impermanencia tanto de las imágenes como de las experiencias personales.

Her current research explores how the interaction between light and color can evoke memories and alter visual perception. Through the use of RGB LED technology in her paintings, she investigates the way light can reveal or obscure pictorial elements, creating a visual metaphor for the transient and fragmented nature of memory. By integrating pigment and light, her work reflects on the act of remembering and forgetting, inviting the viewer to contemplate the impermanence of both images and personal experiences.
